Settings modification via missing CSRF check
Published Sep 17, 2024 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Posts Reminder 0.20 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings through an administrator's browser. The proptions settings handler accepts forged POST fields for the reminder email, subject, and message body without validating a CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized modification of those settings.
