Settings modification via unchecked options POST
Published Sep 17, 2024 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
CSRF in Jupitercow Enhanced Search Box 0.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings through an administrator's browser. The enhancedsb options page accepts a POST carrying enhanced_sb_default and submit values without validating that the administrator intended the request. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, after which the forged request overwrites the default search-box text.
