Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Aug 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester E-Commerce System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The photos action in admin/products/controller.php accepts a multipart photo named 404.php containing PHP and makes it reachable under uploaded_photos without rejecting the executable type. Administrative access to the product-management interface is required, after which the uploaded script provides command execution in the web server context.
