Unauthenticated service interruption via PDF generation
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Missing authentication in Open WebUI 0.3.10 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through unauthenticated PDF generation. The api/v1/utils/pdf route invokes the PDF renderer without an authentication dependency and accepts attacker-controlled POST content. Any network client that can reach the route can consume server CPU and memory with oversized requests, causing resource exhaustion and service interruption.
