Application interruption via unbounded unsupported-feature document import
Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024
Excessive iteration in Progress Telerik Document Processing Libraries before 2024.4.1106 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt applications. The document import path repeatedly processes unsupported features without an execution bound, consuming computing resources. Reachability requires an application to accept and import attacker-controlled documents; successful exploitation makes that application process unavailable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
