Path traversal in PyTorch Lightning before 2.3.3 allows remote attackers to write or overwrite arbitrary files through LightningApp on Windows. The /api/v1/upload_file/ endpoint accepts a crafted filename without confining the destination to the intended upload directory. An unauthenticated network request is sufficient, and writing to a sensitive path enables code execution or service interruption.
