Authenticated code execution via insecure type resolution
Published Oct 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Unsafe type resolution in EntityDataSource in Progress Telerik Reporting 18.2.24.806 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. Progress identifies EntityDataSource as the locus but has not disclosed which attacker-controlled field reaches type resolution or how validation fails. A low-privileged network account is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code in the reporting service context.
