CVE-2024-8011

Permission abuse via runtime dynamic-library injection

Published Aug 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024

Incorrect authorization in Logitech Logi Options+ 1.70.551909 and earlier allows local users to abuse granted macOS permissions. The Options+ runtime loads an attacker-injected dynamic library, executing its code inside the permission-bearing application process. A local low-privileged foothold and an application grant such as Camera access are required; the injected code then uses that grant.
