CVE-2024-8003

Log forgery via unsanitized request path

Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024

Log injection in Go-Tribe gotribe-admin 1.0 allows remote authenticated users on an adjacent network to forge log entries via URL paths. The InitRoutes fallback handler passes c.Request.URL.Path to fmt.Printf without neutralizing newline or other control characters before writing the 404 message to standard output. Access to the management backend from the adjacent network is required, and the bounded consequence is corruption of log content that can mislead monitoring or incident review.
