Code execution via crafted DWG parsing
Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Autodesk AutoCAD and related desktop products allows attackers to execute code through a crafted DWG file. Autodesk identifies the locus only as DWG parsing and has not disclosed the responsible module, function, or unchecked operation. A user must open the file; successful exploitation runs code in the current process and can also crash it or expose sensitive data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2022 <2022.1.6
