Unauthenticated PHP execution via preview eval
Published Aug 23, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2025
Code injection in SPIP before 4.1.16, 4.2.13, and 4.3.0-alpha2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP. The unauthenticated porte_plume_previsu action passes crafted link markup through preview processing until traitements_previsu_php_modeles_eval decodes embedded PHP and executes it with eval. Public-network reachability of the preview action is sufficient, and successful exploitation runs code with the privileges of the SPIP service account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
