Unauthenticated code execution via arbitrary controller dispatch
Published Sep 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in JoomSky WP Job Portal 2.1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute uploaded PHP files without authentication. The checkFormRequest() handler derives a controller and task from request parameters, invokes that method without authorization, and passes a user-controlled layout to include_file(). The same dispatch exposes configuration updates; an attacker who obtains the available nonce can set a default group to Administrator and register an account even when registration is disabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
