Authenticated database disclosure via unneutralized request parameter
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Graduate Tracer System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to disclose database information via request. The fetch_genderit.php endpoint passes the POST request value to a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling an error-based updatexml() payload. Access to the admin site and a valid PHP session are required; the published proof of concept extracts the current database name from an error response.
