Administrator-session script execution via stored username
Published Aug 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
Stored XSS in Simple Forum Website 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via a crafted username. Registration stores the username without effective output neutralization, and the administrative account-review page renders that value as active HTML. Exploitation requires an administrator to review the pending account, placing script execution in the administrator's browser context.
