Authenticated file disclosure via lang path traversal
Published Aug 19, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Path traversal in FastAdmin 1.3.3.20220121 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server files through the lang endpoint. The index Ajax controller accepts lang as a language-file selector without restricting traversal sequences, then returns the loaded content as JSONP. Low-privileged access to the web endpoint is sufficient, and exposed files can include application configuration and database credentials.
