Arbitrary file read via skin path traversal
Published Aug 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
Path traversal in ZZCMS 2023 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the skin parameter in about_edit.php. The action=modify handler uses the unrestricted skin value as a filesystem path without preventing resolution outside the intended directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation discloses files readable by the web server process.
