Authenticated file disclosure via unrestricted page inclusion
Published Aug 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
File inclusion in SourceCodester Simple Online Bidding System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server files via the page parameter. The bidding/index.php endpoint passes the page value to PHP file inclusion without restricting stream wrappers or paths; a php://filter value returns base64-encoded admin/db_connect source. A valid PHP session is the demonstrated gate, and the bounded consequence is disclosure of server-side source and secrets stored in readable included files.
