Authenticated dangerous-file upload via phtml MIME bypass
Published Aug 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in DedeBIZ 6.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to place malicious .phtml files through an admin endpoint. The get_mime_type function in /admin/dialog/select_images_post.php blocks .php and .php3 but omits .phtml after consulting the configurable extension allowlist. Administrator access to Attachment Settings is required, and code execution depends on the web server treating the uploaded .phtml file as PHP.
