CVE-2024-7864Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via unvalidated CSRF request

Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Pixel Jar Favicon Generator before 2.1 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary server files. The output_sub_admin_page_0() function accepts a d parameter as a deletion path without verifying a CSRF token or validating the path. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open a crafted admin URL, and deletion is limited to files accessible to the web server process.
