Arbitrary file upload via forged administrator request
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Pixel Jar Favicon Generator before 2.1 allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary server files. The output_sub_admin_page_0 function accepts a forged multipart upload without validating its nonce or restricting the uploaded file. An administrator must open attacker-controlled content while authenticated, after which executable PHP can be written under the plugin uploads path.
