Reflected XSS via missing AJAX nonce validation
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in BP Profile Search 5.7.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through forged AJAX requests. The bps_ajax_field_selector(), bps_ajax_template_options(), and bps_ajax_field_row() handlers accept request data without valid nonce verification and reflect attacker-controlled script content. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to act on an attacker-supplied link, after which script runs in the administrator's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
