Command execution via custom hyperlink commands
Published Oct 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Command injection in Telerik Reporting 18.2.24.806 through 18.2.24.923 allows context-dependent attackers to execute crafted hyperlink commands. Desktop Report Viewers and Standalone Report Designer accept custom commands embedded in hyperlink elements and pass them to other applications without neutralization. Execution requires a Windows user to interact with a malicious report hyperlink, after which injected commands run in that user's context.
