CVE-2024-7833Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsanitized path parameter

Published Aug 15, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024

Command injection in D-Link DI-8100 16.07 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands through the path parameter. The upgrade_filter_asp handler in upgrade_filter.asp fails to neutralize command metacharacters in attacker-controlled path content. Network access to the management interface and a low-privileged session are sufficient; successful exploitation can read, alter, or interrupt device operations.
