Stored XSS via nonce-free settings update
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Stored XSS in Gwycon Quick Code 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a forged administrator request. The plugin settings update handler performs no nonce validation and stores submitted code without sanitizing it or escaping it on output. Exploitation requires an administrator to act on a forged request; the stored script then executes in that browser with the administrator's session.
