Session data disclosure via permissive Origin validation
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
CORS origin validation error in Onyx 1.4.1 allows remote attackers to read chat contents, API keys, and other API data. The API's CORS policy improperly validates the Origin header and authorizes requests from malicious web pages. A victim must visit attacker-controlled content while the browser can reach the deployment and holds an active session; exposure is limited to data available through that session.
