Stored XSS via forged album creation
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Misiek Photo Album 1.4.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a forged admin request. The album creation handler accepts album_name and album_desc without a CSRF check, input sanitization, or output escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, after which the stored payload executes in site visitors' browsers.
