Browser script execution via unsanitized employee fields
Published Aug 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
Stored XSS in CodeAstro Online Railway Reservation System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in administrators' browsers. The employee-update handler places emp_fname, emp_lname, emp_nat_idno, and emp_addr values into HTML without sanitization or validation. Administrator access is required to modify an employee, and execution occurs when another user views the stored data, exposing browser-accessible session data and actions in that user's context.
