CVE-2024-7801Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary SQL execution via unsanitized channelId

Published Oct 4, 2024 · Updated Oct 4, 2024

SQL injection in the Data plot module of Microchip TimeProvider 4100 before 2.4.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL. The get_chart_data web resource inserts the unauthenticated channelId parameter directly as a SQLite table name in a FROM clause without adequate sanitization. Access requires network reachability to the appliance's physically separate management port and can expose or alter device database data; timing service ports are unaffected.
