Database disclosure via login username SQL injection
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
SQL injection in Simple Online Bidding System 1.0 allows remote attackers to disclose the database name through its administrator login endpoint. The ajax.php login handler incorporates the username value into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, and the published payload uses updatexml() to expose the database name in an error. The request reaches the login action without authentication or user interaction, with demonstrated disclosure limited to the database name.
