Administrator file read and deletion via path traversal
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
Path traversal in Bit Apps Bit Form 2.0 through 2.13.9 allows remote authenticated users to read and delete arbitrary server files. Multiple handlers in includes/Admin/AdminAjax.php pass request-controlled paths to file-read or deletion operations without confining them to an intended directory. Administrator privileges are required; deleting a critical WordPress file such as wp-config.php can enable code execution or disable the site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
