Stored XSS via unescaped normal_enable setting
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 17, 2025
Stored XSS in Magazine3 Technologies PWA for WP before 1.7.72 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via plugin settings. The plugin stores the pwaforwp_settings[normal_enable] value without sanitization or output escaping and renders it when the settings page loads. Administrator privileges are required, and loading the settings page triggers script execution in that user’s browser even when unfiltered_html is disabled.
