Database data disclosure via concatenated account parameter
Published Aug 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Accounts Manager App 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via the account parameter. The endpoint/delete-account.php handler directly concatenates the unvalidated account value into an SQL statement executed by MySQL. A valid application session reaches the delete action; the demonstrated error-based payload discloses the database user, while crafted SQL can alter stored account records.
