CVE-2024-7708Network attack vector

Unauthenticated denial of service via unreleased request buffers

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Resource exhaustion in Eclipse Jetty 10.0.7 through 10.0.22 and 11.0.7 through 11.0.22 allows remote attackers to exhaust server memory. HttpConnection.fillRequestBuffer retains its request buffer when an endpoint read returns zero instead of releasing the buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; repeated body requests, especially 100-Continue requests or requests over slow networks, accumulate buffers until service interruption.
