Authenticated PHP upload via unchecked extension
Published Aug 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Fujian mwcms 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to upload PHP files through /uploadfile.html. The app/controller/Upload.php uploadfile() controller checks file size but does not validate file contents or extensions, unlike uploadimage(). Backend administrator privileges are required, and the demonstrated consequence is placement of an attacker-controlled PHP file.
