Authenticated web-shell upload via missing file filtering
Published Aug 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Fujian mwcms 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to place PHP web shells through the image editor. The uploadeditor() route passes the upfile body through Upload::putFile and the local driver without restricting the uploaded file type, despite image filtering elsewhere. Backend administrator access is required, and a PHP-capable web server can execute the uploaded shell with the application's privileges.
