Log tampering or server crash via crafted entries
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Jan 7, 2025
Improper log handling in AXIS Camera Station Pro before 6.5 allows remote authenticated users to alter logs or crash the server via crafted entries. Audit-log creation processes attacker-controlled entry content without proper output neutralization, although Axis withholds the affected function and protocol details. A malicious client must authenticate and reach the server; successful exploitation corrupts audit integrity or interrupts the video-management service.
