Index deletion via nonce-free management request
Published Sep 9, 2024 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in English Mike AZIndex 0.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary indexes via a crafted link. The index-management action accepts an az-delete-index request with an attacker-chosen indexid and performs the deletion without verifying a CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open the crafted URL, and the demonstrated consequence is deletion of a selected AZIndex index.
