Command execution via untrusted hyperlink navigation
Published Sep 25, 2024 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Command injection in Progress Telerik UI for WinForms before 2024.3.924 allows local users to execute commands through crafted hyperlinks. The RichTextBox, PdfViewer, and Spreadsheet controls pass activated hyperlink targets to local navigation without restricting them to valid, trusted addresses. A host application must use one of those controls and a user must activate the malicious link; commands run with the application's permissions.
