Heap-based buffer overflow in Autodesk Navisworks 2022 through 2025 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted DWFX file. The w3dtk.dll parser mishandles untrusted DWFX data and writes beyond a heap buffer while opening the file. A user must open the file on Windows; successful exploitation runs code in the current process, while an unsuccessful attempt can crash it.
