Unauthenticated private-file disclosure via missing authorization
Published Aug 11, 2024 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
IDOR in ProjectSend r1605 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain direct URLs for private previewable files without authentication. The get_preview branch in process.php constructed a file object from the numeric file_id parameter and returned embed data without checking download permission. Sequential identifiers expose every previewable file, including PDF, image, audio, and video content, to unauthenticated retrieval.
