CVE-2024-7631Network attack vector

Authenticated JSON file disclosure via path traversal

Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2026

Path traversal in Red Hat OpenShift Console 6.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read JSON files from the console pod. The /locales/resources.json handler constructs a filesystem path from unvalidated lng and ns parameters, allowing ../ sequences to escape the locale directory. A valid console session is required, and disclosed content is limited to reachable JSON files inside the console pod.
