CVE-2024-7608Network attack vector

Restricted file access via download_artifact path traversal

Published Aug 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Trellix NX, EX, AX, FX, CMS 10.0.1 and earlier and IVX 10.02 and earlier allow remote authenticated users to read restricted files by path traversal. The network-anomaly download_artifact URL accepts traversal sequences when resolving an artifact path, allowing the request to escape its restricted directory. A low-privileged authenticated account and unspecified user interaction are required, and the disclosed behavior establishes restricted-file access.
