Contributor-level option modification via missing capability check
Published Sep 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in the HelloAsso WordPress plugin 1.1.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify plugin options. The ha_ajax function accepts option-update requests without checking whether the caller has the capability required to manage those settings. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and changing the limited set of exposed options can interrupt the plugin's service.
