Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded stack copies
Published Aug 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda i22 1.0.0.3(4687) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via crafted portal parameters. The formApPortalAccessCodeAuth handler copies accessCode, data, and acceInfo POST values into stack buffers with strcpy or sprintf and no length bound. Reachability requires authenticated network access to /goform/apPortalAccessCodeAuth; the published proof of concept demonstrates an overflow, while code execution is not established.
