Authenticated command execution via malicious upload filename
Published Aug 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024
OS command injection in Alien Technology ALR-F800 19.10.24 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The /admin/system.html upload handler accepts shell metacharacters in the uploadedFile filename, causing a filename such as ;whoami to execute as a command. Digest-authenticated access to the administrative page is required, and successful exploitation runs operating-system commands on the embedded reader.
