Improper certificate validation in Ivanti Neurons for ITSM 2023.4 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to impersonate any user. Ivanti has not disclosed which authentication component accepts the untrusted certificate or how its validation permits a forged token. Exploitation requires interception of authentication traffic and user interaction, after which the token grants the chosen user's ITSM access.
