CVE-2024-7560Network attack vector

Editor-level PHP object injection via post-meta deserialization

Published Aug 8, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

PHP object injection in codename065 News Flash 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects through post metadata. The page.php template passes the newsflash_post_meta value to PHP unserialize() without validating the stored serialized payload. Editor-level access is required; consequential file deletion, data retrieval, or code execution also requires a usable POP chain from another installed plugin or theme.
