CVE-2024-7523Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Permission grant via select-overlay tapjacking

Published Aug 6, 2024 · Updated Mar 14, 2025

Clickjacking in Mozilla Firefox for Android before 129 allows remote attackers to trick users into granting site permissions. A delayed HTML select picker can render above an existing permission prompt, so a double tap on the visible option activates the hidden Allow control. Exploitation requires a user to visit an attacker-controlled HTTPS page and tap after the permission prompt’s security delay; granted access is limited to the requested browser permission.
