Controller denial of service via malformed PTP packet

Improper input validation in Rockwell Automation Logix controller firmware allows remote attackers to cause a nonrecoverable fault via PTP. PTP management-packet processing accepts a malformed packet instead of rejecting it and drives the controller into a major nonrecoverable fault. No authentication or user interaction is required; network access to UDP ports 319 or 320 is sufficient, and successful exploitation interrupts controller operation.
