CVE-2024-7502

Code execution via unchecked DPA length copy

Published Aug 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Delta Electronics DIAScreen before 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted DPA file. The DPA parser copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length. Exploitation requires a targeted user to open the malicious file or visit attacker-controlled content, and resulting code runs in the current process.
